What is a Cloudsteward Licence?

What does the Cloudsteward Licence grant you?

A Cloudsteward Licence grants you stewardship rights to Fairclouds for the duration of the cycle.

You will receive digital copies of the Fairclouds drawings corresponding to the cloud of which you are a steward. You may share and reproduce the drawings publicly.

You may undertake commercial activities using the Fairclouds drawings, such as charging for exhibitions that feature them, or selling reproductions to them, on the condition that those activities raise positive awareness for the cause of the Salinas Grandes Communities, and encourage other patrons to support the Salinas Grandes Communities either directly or through the Fairclouds project.

You have the option to be credited as a Cloudsteward on the Fairclouds website for the duration of your licence.

90% of your purchase price for the Stewardship License will go to support the Salinas Grandes Communities. The other 10% will support the upgrades and maintenance of Fairclouds.

What does the Cloudsteward Licence prohibit?

You may not:

• assign your licence to third parties during your Stewardship Period;
• grant to third parties any rights to use or display the Fairclouds on a commercial basis;
• use non-partial-common-ownership NFT protocols to tokenise your licence or drawings.

What happens at the end of your stewardship cycle?

We will notify you by email at least four weeks before your Cloudsteward Licence expires with the details relating to the renewal. During this period before the end of your stewardship, you will have the option to extend your period of stewardship by paying the renewal price, which will be at 50% of the new public value (i.e., the value at which it is offered to the public). If you choose not to extend, your Cloudsteward License will go back on sale for someone else to become a Cloudsteward. If it is repurchased, you will receive 50% of its value in Cloudsteward Credits that you may later reapply to become a Cloudsteward.
