Becoming a Cloudsteward
How do I become a Cloudsteward?
- To become a Cloudsteward, choose a cloud and select an available licence.
- A Cloudsteward Licence is temporary. It can either be renewed or “recycled” at the end of the one-year cycle.
- You can steward multiple clouds at once, and numerous people can steward the same cloud.
What does being a Cloudsteward involve?
- Cloudstewards receive a package of digital representations of the drawings associated with their cloud.
- The Cloudstewards may use the drawing within the terms of the Cloudsteward Licence.
- Cloudstewards are asked to support the cause by bringing attention to the Salinas Grandes cause and exhibiting the drawings. The Cloudstewards will receive regular updates via a newsletter, and invitations to specific future events.
How do the cycles work?
A Cloudsteward Licence is temporary and renews at a fixed time.
- The Community decides on a new value before the close of the cycle.
- Incumbent Cloudstewards get an opportunity to renew their stewardship before they expire.
- At the beginning of the new cycle, any Cloudsteward seats that were not renewed are offered to the public.
